Background

Bonded/ aged newspaper mounted on birch. Panels are poster board raised on foam and inset into composite wood frame.

The image transforms as you walk past, beginning with a pregnant moment of uncertainty, and pushing the viewer to a positive place of hope. The background is a landscape of challenge and conflict, but the child is to rise above and set himself apart. The frame works as a viewing booth, where the problems of the world disappear and all that emerges is a clean and unspoiled return to childhood.
